CREDAI-Pune Metro Hosts First GBM  & Installation Ceremony of CREDAI Maharashtra

CREDAI-Pune Metro, the apex body representing private real estate developers in Pune, hosted the First General Body Meet and the Installation Ceremony for the 2025–2027 term of CREDAI Maharashtra at the JW Marriott Hotel, Pune. This significant event marked the formal induction of the newly elected leadership team of CREDAI Maharashtra.

The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries including Shri Ajit Pawar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, along with respected industry stalwarts Mr. Satish Magar, Mr. Sunil Furde, Mr. Rajendra Singh Jabinda, Mr. Shantilal Katariya, and Mr. Rajiv Parikh. Their presence and guidance added great value to the event.

Newly elected President of CREDAI-Pune Metro, Mr. Manish Jain, and Mr. Ranjit Naiknavare, Vice President, CREDAI National, also addressed the gathering and shared their vision for the future. The event witnessed a joint press conference involving CREDAI-Pune Metro, CREDAI Maharashtra, and CREDAI National, moderated by Mr. Kapil Gandhi, Convenor, CREDAI Maharashtra.

New Leadership of CREDAI Maharashtra (2025–2027)

The newly elected President of CREDAI Maharashtra, Mr. Prafulla Taware—a civil engineer and developer from Baramati—assumed office from outgoing president Mr. Pramod Khairnar. Mr. Taware is also a licensed pilot and currently serves as Secretary of the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association of India (AOPA).

In his address, Mr. Taware outlined his core priorities for the upcoming term, which include:

  • Empowering Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities
  • Advocating for industry-friendly policies
  • Promoting skill development and employment generation
  • Strengthening consumer-centric initiatives

“With the new leadership, our commitment remains firm on completing ongoing initiatives while planning for inclusive growth across Maharashtra. We also aim to conduct high-impact activities that shape the future of the real estate sector in the state,” Mr. Taware stated.

The installation event witnessed the participation of over 600 member developers from more than 61 cities across Maharashtra, reinforcing Pune’s pivotal role in shaping the state’s urban development.

Vision and Priorities of CREDAI-Pune Metro

Mr. Manish Jain, President, CREDAI-Pune Metro, emphasized that the mission for the next two years is to establish affordable, accessible, and available housing as a fundamental right for every citizen. He called for greater government support to achieve this goal.

Additionally, he announced the establishment of a Centre of Excellence to provide skill-based training for construction workers, boosting employment and industry standards.

CREDAI-Pune Metro will also address several critical concerns, including:

  • Environmental clearance issues in PCMC and surrounding areas
  • Finalization of the Development Plan (DP) for PMRDA
  • Fair water allocation and metering for projects
  • Simplification of approval processes to improve ease of doing business
  • Advocacy for relevant amendments in laws and regulations
  • Promotion of technology adoption and automation in construction to improve quality, speed, and cost-efficiency

CREDAI National’s Perspective

Mr. Ranjit Naiknavare, Vice President, CREDAI National, conveyed warm wishes on behalf of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. He reiterated the need for accelerated approval systems and greater ease of doing business in line with the national vision of Housing for All.
