With the objective of promoting the use and propagation of the Official Language Hindi, the “Rail Minister’s Official Language Running Trophy” is awarded every year to Railway Headquarters / Production Units / Divisions / Stations / Workshops / Undertakings and Central Training Institutes located in Regions ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ for outstanding work in the field of Official Language implementation.

During the year 2024, Konkan Railway achieved remarkable success through effective implementation of the Official Language, innovative initiatives, and sustained motivational efforts. In recognition of its good  performance in Official Language implementation under the category of Railway Ministry Undertakings, Konkan Railway was conferred the “Rail Minister’s Official Language Running Trophy” at a function held on 26 December 2025 in the Conference Hall at Rail Bhawan. The award was presented by Shri Satish Kumar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Railway Board.

On behalf of Konkan Railway, the prestigious award was received by Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, Chairman and Managing Director, and Shri Satyendra Kumar Shukla, Chief Official Language Officer and Executive Director (Business & Operations).

On this significant achievement, the Chairman and Managing Director proudly stated that Konkan Railway remains steadfastly committed to the promotion, propagation, and effective implementation of the Official Language Hindi.
