The 17th edition of the Poultry India Expo 2025 concluded on a resounding high, reaffirming India’s growing influence on the global poultry map. Organised by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA), the four-day mega event was held from 25 to 28 November at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. With good global participation, record-breaking footfalls and meaningful industry collaborations, the Expo once again proved why it is regarded as one of the world’s most influential platforms for poultry innovation, trade and knowledge exchange.
At a time when food security, nutrition and sustainability are high on the global agenda, Poultry India Expo 2025 emerged as a powerful convergence point for ideas, technology and policy. The theme, “One Nation, One Expo,” perfectly captured the spirit of unity and collaboration that defined this year’s edition—bringing together farmers, manufacturers, researchers, policymakers and global business leaders under one roof.
India’s Expanding Global Poultry Footprint
The Expo also mirrored India’s remarkable rise as a global poultry powerhouse. The country today ranks second in egg production, producing 142.77 billion eggs in 2023–24, and continues to remain among the top four broiler-producing nations worldwide. Growing steadily at 8–10% in chicken meat and 6–8% in egg production annually, the poultry sector has become a critical pillar of India’s nutrition security, rural employment and economic growth. Poultry India Expo 2025 highlighted how innovation and collaboration can further strengthen this momentum.
A Truly Global Platform
The scale and diversity of participation at the 17th edition set new benchmarks. The Expo fostered strong global and national alliances, collaborating with 16 overseas poultry associations, more than 40 national-level poultry bodies, 18 national poultry media houses and 15 global media organisations. Over 100 mainstream and digital influencers amplified the event’s reach, making this edition the most connected and impactful in the history of Poultry India.

The event received significant encouragement from the Telangana government, reinforcing the importance of industry–government collaboration. The Expo was inaugurated by Mr Vakiti Srihari Minister for Animal Husbandry, Telangana, who also graced the Poultry Knowledge Day on 25 November. Over the following days, the Expo was honoured by the presence of several distinguished leaders, including Mr Ponnam Prabhakar Goud, Minister for Transport & BC Welfare, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Agriculture Minister, Mr Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Gaddam Ranjith Reddy, both former Ministers, and Dr. K. Record-Breaking Scale and Innovation
Poultry India Expo 2025 unfolded across seven world-class, air-conditioned halls covering 35,000 square metres. More than 500 exhibitors from over 50 countries showcased cutting-edge solutions across the poultry value chain, attracting an impressive 51,251 industry visitors. From breeding and genetics to hatchery automation, feed milling, EC housing, veterinary diagnostics, biosecurity, egg processing and green poultry solutions, the Expo offered a comprehensive glimpse into the future of poultry farming. Critical issues such as emerging diseases, sustainability challenges, raw material volatility and smart technology adoption were also addressed with urgency and depth.
Knowledge at the Core
A key highlight of the event was Poultry Knowledge Day 2025, the flagship thought leadership forum held on 25 November. Experts and industry leaders deliberated on emerging disease threats, future-ready feed strategies, manure management, sustainability frameworks, rural market potential and evolving career opportunities for the next generation of poultry professionals. The sessions reinforced the Expo’s role not just as a trade platform, but as a knowledge hub shaping the industry’s long-term direction.
Aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047
In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, Poultry India Expo 2025 empowered farmers, entrepreneurs, veterinarians, researchers, students and global investors to collectively accelerate the next phase of poultry transformation. The focus on innovation, sustainability and inclusive growth echoed India’s broader development aspirations.
Reflecting on the success of the event, Mr Uday Singh Bayas, President, IPEMA / Poultry India, remarked that the alliances forged during the Expo reaffirmed the industry’s future-ready vision and demonstrated the true momentum of India’s poultry sector.
As the curtains came down on the 17th edition, one message rang loud and clear: the industry met, innovation rose and collaboration accelerated.
